McQueeney Lions Club donated $7000 to the Challenger League of Seguin . Joe Guerra presented the check to April Bustamante, Director of the Challenger League. The group came to the June meeting and discussed the league and impact it has on children with physical and intellectural challenges.

2025 McQueeney Lions Club honored 14 area seniors with scholarships at their Annual Shrimp Boil. Scholarships were $2000 each totalling $28,000. The Lions Club raises the money by holding Bingo every Thursday at the Hall. McQueeney Lions Club was a Bronze Sponsor at the 7th Annual Joyce Even Memorial Golf Tournament on April 12th. This tournament raises money for the American Cancer Society to help fund new treatments in cancer research.
